1,6-Hexanediol, distn. residues
The complex combination of hydrocarbons produced by the vacuum distillation of products from the production of 1,6-hexanediol. It consists predominantly of dimers and trimers of ethers of hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly in the range of C4 through C6 with various small amounts of glycols and ethers of the same carbon numbers and boiling in the range of approximately 250°C to 400°C (482°F to 752°F).
